CORONAVIRUS ~ SUPPORT IN A TIME OF CRISIS
CORONAVIRUS ~ SUPPORT IN A TIME OF CRISIS
Covid & Contact via the Internet
Although like many of my colleagues my preference is for face to face contact, safest practice is still best delivered via online video platforms until we have clarity around meeting indoors at close proximity. Please include your choice of platform with your enquiry giving one week's notice as the service diary is extremely busy.
A reduced fee scheme is available for NHS staff and other key workers
Accredited by Professional Standards Authority and UKCP reg 0916 0703, Michael Féat has for many years provided an esteemed therapy service, working effectively and empathically to fundamentally improve the quality of peoples’ lives and their relationships. He sees adults (18+) individually and in couples and supervises experienced therapists in addition to examining at MSc level.
Michael brings a depth of experience, commitment and personal warmth that is valued by GP surgeries and private individuals alike seeking professional and ethical help. His practice pays particular attention to cultural and gender difference, safety and ethics being primary.
For those in distress or experiencing difficult times an experienced therapist can make a real and lasting difference . From the first session a clear contractual focus will prioritise your right to choose and the best way to move forward. For some people that process might be relatively short and solution focussed. For others, greater complexity will mean more time is needed to fully make a difference, this highlights the differences between Counselling, Psychotherapy or a more cognitive Coaching style. Either way commitment is key .
EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE HELPING PEOPLE RESOLVE:
Sexual compulsion, Inappropriate use of the Internet
Problematic / disordered eating
Problematic personality traits
Life Crises [Divorce, Bereavement]
Relationship issues, couples counselling and marriage guidance.
Gender issues, sexuality and intimacy
Cancer support for sufferers and their partners.
